So I went to the studio of course every week/weekend, and record tracks for like 4 different artists, for 4 different projects, ranging from singles to full albums. Anyways, for the newer signed Luietenent Mac or however you spell Luietenent.... and his brother came up there on Saturday for 6 hours, laced 3 tracks, for his upcoming album that's due out this Christmas. And so, here's one of the tracks we did, the original medium I bounced to was way too low, even though it was normal in the studio... So I take it to sound forge, and just up the volume so it can be heard. Basically this is a crap premix of Front Line. Featuring his brother. Gots a southern feel to it. I'm going to be actually mixing it down later after I burn the session and take it to studio A.

I know that for one, the vocals are not sitting right, and the mMac is a little too compressed, so I'll probably up the dry vocals, which will help him sit right with the beat, and then second person's vocals need to be eq'd more, probably a cut down around 120-220hz range & a slight boost around 240hz ish. The volumes of the first/second verse was different than the 3rd verse. Most likely due to the fact that we took an hour break, and my own stupidity lol. A cut with a narrow Q, maybe -3 to -4 dB on the beat will help the rest of the track sit right. Chorus needs to be up front more though. This was probably one of my most highly effected tracks I've done. Damn near everything had 3-5 plugins being ran.

i will take a listen lata..when i get home from work..

As far as the mix, I can't tell on my laptop. I like the song though!
