What are the best jumper settings for this

Primary IDE
OS 60gb HD- Master slave present, or master
CDRW ------- Slave

secondary IDE
120 gb HD-master

Are these way off from what anyone else uses?

That should be fine.
IDE 1 HD with slave(slave being CDRW)
IDE 2 HD 2 as master

The secondary one you might not even need the jumper. It should work set at master, but I've had some drives that won't be recognized if they are set to master and there is nothing as a slave.

But everything else should work...

I can't find ANYPLACE locally that sells IDE ribbon cables or mounting brackets! Not at radio shack or short-circuit city!

I couldn't even find anyplace that sold trays online!

Any suggestions? I did find a mounting kit, but it's just brackets and not an actual tray. Does it matter? It doesn't seem it would but...

So now I have my second hard drive and no way of making it functional...

As long as you're not throwing your case around the room, it doesn't matter if your drives aren't properly mounted.

My last machine had a 2nd hard drive dangling from it's power cable, with one corner resting on some metallic protrusion inside the case. I actually think it went faster like that

HAHAHA!!!

I fitted an extra intake fan and it rattled like a wire fence so I jammed a fruit pastel between it and the case....I SWEAR it spins faster

I kinda didn't think it was so critical as long as it was somewhat secured, but my more computer literate friend laughed at me saying something like "oh sure, just wedge it in with a pop tart".

Still can't believe I can't at least find a damned ribbon cable locally...

Comp USA has ribbon cables, albeit overpriced ones IMO.

I wedged a case fan between the drive bay and power supply on an old HP missing a CPU fan...It was this overpowered Y.S.Tech fan that I swear was on steroids. Well, it vibrated itself loose, slid its way over to my video card, and in an explosion of shattered plastic, sent most of the tips of its fins flying at mach 3 towards my motherboard.

Luckily, all parties involved survived the incident (including my PC). The fan, however, wasn't so fortunate. I suppose I could still employ it if I ever need to kill someone, as the fins that broke off left behind jagged plastic stumps that still spin like a circular saw.

Hard to believe what these things can survive!

???Anyone ever heard that there are technical specifications as to the length of ribbon cables which should be used for any given device, namely Hard Drives???

I ordered a '32 last night, and was told that most tech spec.s say to use 18???
