hello! has anyone got the JULI@ soundcard from ESI? I´m trying to get opinions on it, since its reviews look more than interesting for the price...

Fernando

I'm using it.
With it's 24-bit/192kHz and good converters it's great. It only has 2in/2outs but thats not a problem for me since I have a Mackie 1202 mixer connected to it, and I'm never in need for recording 2 separate tracks at the same time (well I do from time to time, but then just for scetching and it's easily done by fading up whatever I need to go to recording from the Mackie 1202. That comes in on the same track in the sequencer though. The only way for me to record 2 separate is panning full left and right and record mono).
On a low budget Juli@ might be the best choice.
But if you need to record several tracks at the same time and dont have a mixer, it might be some other cards that suits you better.
The sound quality delivered through the Juli@ is outstanding though.

Would you say it's better than the m-audio audiophile 192?

Well, isn't that cute! You can disassemble and reassemble it so that you can use either the TRS or the RCA jacks!

Think I will stick with the Emu 1212M.

Ain't sure. The aidiophile has more options like direct hardware input monitoring and more ins/outs (i think). I really dont know about the converters though and how good they are. Juli@'s converters are known to be good.
You can switch Juli@ between unbalanced RCA I/O (-10dBV) and Balanced TRS I/O (+4dBu) by turning parts of the card before installing. Aidiophile has balanced only, allthough I must admit i hardly know the difference.
When I bought a card I was originally going for a card with an external box with lots of ins and outs. But since I have a Mackie mixer with great preamps I was told to go for the Juli@ becoz of its good converters. To get as good sound as possible within my budget.
I really dont know what card you should go for. But without an external mixer, you probably want to go for something with more ins/outs etc than the Juli@. Depends on your plans for using it and your other gear.
