Josephson c42... How much a step up from mxl 603s?

Read several posts and the C42 is obviously a well-respected mic around here and at RP and gearsluts.Looking at the freq graph (i know, i know) I see a pretty substantial HF bump. Am I looking at a 600 dollar improvement? anyone here have both? What about the matched MK-012s from the Sound Room? Or the Shure SM-81?

Too many choices, not enough moneys to go around. :mad:
