You whiny bitches!

Anyway, back to the topic:

How much is the microphone going for anyway? I've never seen any "meekrophones" for sale.

In addition, I do not need to hear lectures from the likes of you telling me to control my temper, and or my language. You have no right to tell me what I should or should not do.
You can do whatever you want Alan... however, your hot temper and use of bad language is very unprofessional and doesn't paint a good picture for your company. Anyway, it may be something you might want to think about... or not. :)

Yadda yadda yadda ... hummeddy hum. Gidge ... I'm afraid Justin really did have you all ends up this time. You can't accuse someone of spamming and then expect them to answer a marketing-related question in the same breath!!

I'm gonna add some fuel to this fire and say to Alan - you got a good review in Sound on Sound this month for the threeQ, so nice one. Paul White said what you've been saying about it, as in, it has a clean preamp and the so-called 'colour' comes later. Vindication, anyone?

Come on and bite me, trolls! :D

I tell you what. When you have a company like mine, then you can give me advice, and run it the way you see fit. From the looks of it, that would be drinking at the pub all night long and spending every available minute on these boards....Get a life! :p

Hey Noise,

Yes, it was a very good review. I spoke to Paul White at the NAMM Show here in California a couple of weeks ago. He was so impressed, he wants to buy it along with a B1.... So far the reviews have been excellent, so I am very pleased with our accomplishments and designs. Kudos goes to one of your fellow countrymen, Allan Bradford for doing an excellent job on the new Meek.

tempers and jabs

This is out of control. If you want to bicker please exchange phone numbers or addresses and take it off of this forum.

This is a place for beneviolent exchange of ideas and advice.

Please no attacks, anger, etc..

When you were still dicking around on the road, I was buying and selling stock and property... now I can whatever I wish, even buy 3 of your little companies. :p Anyway, it was just a suggestion... but it's your business and your loss, not mine... so do wantever you want Alan. :)

Kind of like when you said you knew something about Pro Audio, while everyone else in the world said different. Justin answered the question. It was you that made an asshole of himself with your stupid SPAM comment. Then because you get outwitted, you cry like a girl.... What a wimp! :p

Ouch. I was gonna buy a TwinQ, but now I think I will pass.

In the guitar forum, people compare Marshall and Mesa all the time. People say the new Marshalls suck. But one thing you will find with these companies, is that they don't come on the internet and try to defend themselves against everyone with a keyboard.

Sometimes its better to let people say what they will. But this just lowers your company IMO.

Cool! My impression of the review was that he took the piece with some trepidation and ended up liking it. Obviously having the Meek brand name is a good way of getting products out there ... but you already knew that, right? :)

Oh please, put your dick away. Maybe you need to do something to cool your testosterone levels or something.

I think he said that when you own a company like his ... well you don't own a company like his, do you? So if you can afford three, why not go easy on yourself and just buy one? Let's see it, hot shot, cos I think you're full of shit, not money! :)

lol... even if there was any, I wouldn't buy stock in the company. Anyhow, maybe I took the wrong approach... I just wish Alan would try a little harder to control his anger and language here at hr.com... but if the Nice Brigade supports such language, so be it. :(

PS... the beer at the pub was great too. :D

So start your own company! Seriously - you seem to know the score, how to run the business, what is and isn't good marketing/customer relations ... I'd be interested to see you come out from behind your anonymous persona and back up some of the big talk. If I had the kind of money you claim to have, I wouldn't mind using some to set up a potentially very profitable company.

Glad your beer was good ... the Nice Brigade exists to try and bring civility back to the forum in the most tongue-in-cheek way possible ... but none of us is perfect :)

No thanks... I'm happy camper.

I get a little tired of the "I'm better than eveyone" attitude so I may have over reacted by saying I could buy three since I have no idea of Alan's worth... however, I'm am far from being broke. Did Alan give you that speical mic deal yet... and if so, what mic did you get?

I'll be back later... I'm going to the pub. :D

Well ... I am hoping very much that Alan and whoever else he has are still up for some good English beer, so I'm hoping they have time to hook up when they're over for a trade exhibition in April. In fact ... that reminds me ... I have to go register for a pass.

Hope the pub is good ... I took my brother out for a few pints this evening ... he only lives next door but we don't talk all that often :)

Hey Nik,

I will be there. I am staying at the Hilton Wembley Plaza. I am sure they have a good bar in the Hotel for a few pints after the show. Justin will be there as well, and Malcolm Toft.

Maybe DJL will fly over for the show on his private jet and give you one of his many matched sets of Telefunken ELM 251's. If he likes pubs, he will love the pubs in the UK  :D

Awesome. I've got a friend who's sorting me out for transport who was at some conference there recently ... I can't imagine it'll be too hard to find.

DJL, if you're flying in can you buy me some gear at USA prices and I'll pay you when you get here?

UK pubs ... well the ones not full of violent teenagers are good ... they're becoming rarer but I have two on my doorstep ... which is what I'm off to do right now (the pub, not the doorstep).

Nik, make sure you ask Justin what he meant by the MXL603 and the JM27 being "the exact same inside" BEFORE he starts on pints........

Yeah, cos I want to get beaten up by a bunch of suddenly surly Americans! He can say what he likes ... I don't have a problem with him, Alan, Harvey, deepwater, John Scrip or whoever being on here and doing what they like. If they turn out to be a bunch of assholes, I'll tell you. If they turn out to be a bunch of nice people, though, I swear I'll get shot down for reporting that back. *Sigh*

Promo Details

gee, not like you couldnt just email Joe Meek/PMI.......

but while we are spamming for JM :D , when does the promo end?

We don't have a specific end date for the promo at this time. Our intention when we started was to see how it went, then decide.

I'm happy to report that it seems to be going pretty well. We've received quite a few of the forms from guys who bought threeQ's and twinQ's.

So, you tell me. Is this the kind of thing you guys like? If not, then what would you want to see? Feel free to email me directly (reid@pmiaudio.com)

Cheers,
Reid
Marketing Dude,
PMI Audio Group

I think it's a really good idea. Free gear is not to be sniffed at ... any kind of linked purchasing price breaks is a good thing. So if someone wanted to add a second JM27 to make a pair with their free one from the threeQ, it could be a certain amount more.

Can't see how you'd get that working with the retailers though!! :)
