yes, channel 1 of the JM will go to one input on the Mia while channel 2 of the JM will go into the other input........use good quality balanced cables.......

why would i need to go out of the Joe Meek into the Mia twice? what do you mean by "good quality balanced cables"? wouldn't my 1/4" guitar cables do the job or would you suggest something better? thanks a lot gidge, you are the man

Guitar cables and line level cables have different impedance(I think) but they are a little different.. Just get some regular 1/4" cables.

Well first (correct me if I am wrong) but arent balanced Cables TRS (Tip Ring Sleve) cables? Or in other words Stereo cables. Your guitar cables wouldnt work for this reasons because all of the guitar cables I have seen are Mono. Another thing, on the Mq3 (just got one my self) from my understanding, is that you would only hook up the left output of the unit to the Soundcard. According to what my bro read in the manual, it says the reason they give you 2 outputs is so you can run one to your recorder and one to somthing else if you like. And actully we first started with both outputs running into our Delta-44 and having problems with noise with that.

You are correct about the TRS cables. Use cables that are labeled as PATCH cables either mono or stereo depending on what you need.

there's actually a type of 1/4" cable called a "patch cable"? my guitar cable has 1 band on its plug, i am guessing that means it is mono, however, i have an A/V-1/8" cable going from my Fostex to my SoundBlaster Live! i just got my Echo Mia card today and installed it...i am stumped as to whether i should use that same cable to go into the card....of course the Mia has 1/4" inputs...so i would need to put an adapter on the end of it, which i have. (the adapter has 2 bands, so i am assuming that means stereo)
OR
would i just use regular A/V cables from my Fostex (Monitor Out) into the Digital inputs on the card? ??except?? one of the inputs says "DIn" and the other says "Dout" so, now i am thinking that the A/V cables aren't the way to go.. Is it the first way? i know this got off subject, but i'm trying to figure this thing out..thanks guys
