Does anyone know anything about this company/microphone? I've never heard of it. Obviously the specs look good, but it's the manufacturer saying it. It's selling at a liquidation sale for $169.99. Otherwise, I will probably get a Studio Projects C-1 for $199.99 with the extras (case, shockmount, windscreen.)

Is that a good deal? I would appreciate everyone's feelings on both microphones and if I should get them or not. I am looking for a microphone or two to mic acoustic instruments, electric guitar amp, and vocals. Basically everything, but I could have a dedicated vocal mic.

From what Alan Hyatt said at his site, the new Joemeek is essentially a V67 with pad and high-pass filter on it... and with some updated cosmetics obviously. He said he finds it rather dark sounding and a complement to the C1, which is obviously a bright mic.

I haven't heard it, though.
 
If it's liquidating at 169, it's probably the old JM47 which is totally different design and manufactured by another company. I've never used it myself, but I haven't heard the most glowing reviews of it. (An old prorec review mentioned it was usable...I thinkt he most positive thing I've seen)

Thanks, I'll have to think about this one. There are certainly better things than the JM for $170 dollars, though.
