I think that a drinking game could be made when movies are that inaccurate, too many times there was equipment that could never have been in existance at that time period, and the fingering on the instruments was way off as well.
I personally liked the peavey sp5 pa speakers and the danelectro late model guitar, look even closer and you will find all sorts of stuff like that.

Thats really too bad. I like those type of movies (i.e. la bamba, buddy holly story) If there accurate and true to the past and those legends. It sounds like some hokey put together bit for money only, not the love of the greatest guitar talent the world has known.
