I´m Recording A Jazzy Sounding Track At The Moment.
I´ve Got A Fender Blues Deluxe Tube Amp.
And A Thine Line Tele.
What Would Be Your Settings To Get The Best Sort Of Tone.
I´tried Using Various Effect´s.
But I Think Just Going Straight In With The Tone Rolled Back A Little On The Bridge Pickup Is The Best Tone I Can Get So Far.
Any Other Ideas Or Sugestion´s
 
try the neck pickup, it might sound a lot fuller.
The only "effect" I would use would be an eq.

Also, clean solid state amps often work really well for jazzy guitar sounds. Like the polytone.

What mic are you using ?

Clean, clean, clean. The neck pickup is generally more mellow and "round" sounding. Don't be afraid to record direct through a good DI/Preamp for a clean jazz tone. It can be the perfect time to DI a guitar.
 
ive got a couple of sm 58´s
there pritty good for what they are.

im also using a wah on one of my tracks its an absalute bastard to eq.
 
:\, whenever i want a jazzy sound, i tend to turn the treble down a little, scoop a decent amount of mids, and have the bass about as high, or higher than the treble.

Oh and neck pickup all the way *thumbs*

I would place an SM58 at a 45 degree angle against the speaker cab facing the loudest speaker (assuming you have more than one speaker, the one with the most hiss) and run the other pointing directly at the same speaker about 2 - 3 inches away from the cabinet. If the amp is clean, and smooth you'll get a nice warm tone, and I would use the neck pick up for this. Its fuller, warmer, and adds a nice subtle tone for jazz stuff. To get a fuller sound on the track you could run a direct line in and double the guitar tracks.
i hope this helps, and this is all under the assumption that the amp you're using has a speaker cabinet or is a combo, not just head.
