Jazz or Precision?

Hi,
I'd love to be the final position to have to choose between them. I'd take either or both.
I've always had a special setting in my salivary gland for when I set my eyes on a precision.
For me, in 1974, reality was a Coronet short scale SG copy. Known as the lunch money bass as that's how I paid for it.
Cheers

Where is the Geddy Lee model manufactured? MIM or USA made?
Japan, I believe. Just my opinion, but a P/J config doesn't sound like a Jazz or Pbass. I've owned all three and the differences were subtle, but distinct. And just to muddy the waters abit, you might like to check out G&L. Sort of a Fender on steriods and brain-enhancement drugs. :p :D

i have played Yamaha basses since 1984. wouldnt play anything else.

Even though you didn't ask about it, another vote for Yamaha in this price range. I auditioned many models and could find nothing more comfortable or with better sound. Then again, I'm a regular guitarist of many years with limited skills on bass.

Hey guys,

I ended up getting the Precision. I walked into Guitar Center thinking I would like the Jazz better, but it sounded dull to me for some reason. I played a couple of them just to make sure. So, I tried the P, and it sounded alot better to me. I got a wine red P bass.

Thanks!
