every home studio needs at least one decent mic, at least one decent preamp, a recording medium (tape, HD,etc.), a realiable monitoring system, instruments.........

I am glad I came back and re-read this thread. I am getting ready to put up the walls in my basement studio and I didn't even think about a door! I may even put two in just in case.
