Not a bad little tune. I am not really into country music, but as far as a straight ballad goes, this sounds good.

I think you have a good recording here, and a great voice for that genre of music. The levels all seem in good order, and you have some good guitar playing on there.

Not too shabby...

Honestly...nothing personal but I HATE western, but I think you have a really good sounding recording. The vocals and the guitar really good.

yo James, panthose breath, you did it again. Great tune. I have a friend ( Page ), a long haul trucker ( he like goes out for 6 weeks at a time and stuff ), who plays, sings, and loves trad. country. Loves Merle. Anyway, Page comes around every now and then and wants to play, so me and some of the bluegrass boys jump on then suckers like stink on shit, man. I love old Merle songs, and stuff from his hayday. I always tell Page that he must know 300 songs, and he just laughs and swears it's only about 250.
Sorry for the ramble, this is personal stuff between me and pantyhose breath.

thanks for the input guys!!

"hmm" i wonder what thicknesses you can get pantyhose in?

I think it works best in a nice medium beige ultra sheer, dear.

Good recording.

Come on, admit it, you tried on the panty hose...

:D

sonny,
don't you let this professional country singer and picker fool you for a minute. I know for a fact, that, he has tried the pantyhose on. And how do I know this, you may ask? Because my wife still asked why her pantyhose smell like "mic". And I still have that strange feeling when I hear those words.

James has been here again!

ROFL!!!!

but"but" but"
i didn't do it i tell ya!
they were the wrong color".............".......and stuff"

Not my type of music

However, the recording is great. I think the only thing that would make this any better would be a live/session drummer.

The guitar is perfectly mellow thick tone but the accompaniment tends to drone a little.

kinda reverby on the vocals, but I think it may be ok for this style. I hear mostly just bass, and the rest is kinda buried back in there somewhere. ...with the exception of the lead gtr. Really sounds like J. Cash at times to me. I think this might be interesting if brought up to current recording standards, with a good drum sound, distinct bass gtr sound, a nice vocal presence with less reverb, and stuff like that. I can hear the noise reduction artifacts 'swirling' around in there...especially the end, but I suppose better than the noise you must have removed. I'd even take some New York "lush" in there too, to boost it up.....if that's acceptable!!:p
