bite yer cock....................

any finger picking guitarists will know exactly what I'm on about. When you spend ages being careful with your nails, letting them grow so the acoustic sounds that much better when finger picking & one of them (my thumb nail in this instance) goes & damn well breaks!!!!!

I don't like finger picks & damnit I've tried to get used to them, so I grow my nails, I've now got to cover my thumb in nail glue & apply a false nail because I have a gig on tuesday night where I'll be finger picking

Christ I only do one finger style gig a month & the dude above decided "slidey will break his prised thumb nail..........................now!!!!!"

god damnit I'm pissed off & further more I hate applying falsey's. They just don't feel right although the sound is there.............

fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck!!!!!

hmmmmmmmmmmm not since I played in Newcastle......................I get mine from a can/bottle now ;)
 
I don't play a nylon string, but I am about 90% fingers on my Martin, and I don't have shit for nails. Its skin from the fingers and when I need a shimmer I will use the back side of them (the top of the nail). I guess its just a technique I developed from lack of 'long' nails. lol
 
I used to keep long nails for classical, but gave that up many years ago. The callouses on my fingers are good enough for me now.

I'm a tad calmer now...............still would've liked my own nail for the gig

why couldn't it have broken on wednesday???

I have almost no finger nails on 7 of my 10 right now because I bite them so horribly. I have no pics...but as an illustration for you....

Imagine that your pinky nail is aboutl half the size it looks like it should be..........

Then imagine that your ring finger nail is slightly smaller than that.....

and there you have a brief summation of my left hand.

I've tried & tried with thumb-picks but I just can't get head round them, hence the falsies
