Yeah I been drinkin, SO!?
After seeing some reamping done to great effect in a studio recently, I'm really interested. Problem is, my collection of ONE amp doesn't cut it. Is there a software solution to reamping an already recorded guitar part through a variety of amps? I know real amps and mics would be better, at least I prefer it, but my current lifestyle won't permit amp purchases.

Just read that, and not sure I made it clear that this is something I'd like to do totally in the box, after the initial guitar part has been recorded.

You would need some way to split the signal for your guitar. Run one signal to your miced amp, and the other signal (your dry signal) to a separate track. When you need to re-amp, put whatever plugin(s) you need on the dry signal. It's that easy. Just make sure whatever splitter you used is plugged in to the proper input (e.g. don't send a line level DI box to an "Instrument input" on your interface)

Yes, there are a dozen or so amp simulation plugins. Just google them up and you're good to go.
