iso booth with built in bass traps?

Hi folks,
......I want to put an iso booth in my room. The iso dimensions would roughly be in the 4x5' range. I want to do vocs......."and" record amps in there. My concern is that ive been told that bass/low range freq.s in these small rooms gets baaaaaaaad. Anyone have a solution for this? I would like to put a bass amp in there and be able to record it cleanly at a moderate volume.

The problem with very small rooms and very low frequencies is the walls are very close to the sound source and microphones. All those nearby reflections skew the LF response. So you are correct that you need bass traps. This can be low-tech such as bales of fiberglass - still in their plastic wrappers - stood up in the corners. Or you can get commercial bass traps that work and look better, and they're of course smaller, but they cost more than bags of fiberglass.

So you're saying you'd get better bass trapping by stacking rolls of the insulation than building a frame across the corner, packing that with insulation, and covering with material?

Maybe just stack the rolls behind the frame rather than opening them, and stuffing it in there?

I didn't say one is better than the other. But since the original post asked about bass trapping in general, my suggestion was just a cheap and easy way to do that.
