i have been a member for a few days now but havent had much success in getting my questions answered. are they that bad?? anyway im thinking of bailing on this studio stuff.i might just go to a PRO studio although it might cost. i would love to produce an album at home and have people asking how did you do that at home  but i guess there is no solution for the common poor man.
one more thing is, i would love to hear some songs you guys did on your own equipment. please post some......please!!

I read all your posts, and you have gotten some answers. One problem you have is that you are literally asking everything. It's hard for people to type a book in response. Try to read most of the threads for a couple of weeks or a month, and you'll learn not only your answers, but answers to questions you didn't even know to ask.

what he said....I was a member for several weeks before i posted my first question...

well i agree with ya mshilarious (did i get that right) good things take time, ill take your advise in trying to be more specific. i was just getting frustrated.
thankz guy!!!!!!!

yup!! i was reading for a few days straight before i even got a chance to register, and i did find answers to questions i didn't even know to ask. theres so much stuff on here to learn that its just ridiculous. i still find something informative to read every single day.

People seem to think recording is just asking "What do I need to buy?" and then they go out and spend tons of money (or very little money) and then wonder why their stuff doesn't sound very good. Recording is just like learning an instrument. It takes time, patience, and alot of effort. There's just no other way around it. Don't get discouraged, but if you're ready to give up after a couple of weeks, maybe your best bet would be to go to a studio.

i got serious about homerecording 7 or 8 months ago. it is really frustrating when you first start out. theres been countless times when i wanted to put my head through a wall. but believe me, keep plugging away, and it will get easier.
once you start to learn the basics, and all the lingo that goes with it,
it will start to make a lot more sence. theres still a lot i dont know, but im confident i'll be able to learn.
the others are right, i log onto this site everyday, i dont post very much, just lurk around and read what others are asking and talking about, youll find the answers to your questions.

good luck, and stick with it.

.peace.

7 or 8 months ago huh....just wait till you double or tripple that time...then go back and listen to your first serious recording and compair it to your most recent....then you will see what you have really learned...better yet...go back and remix that first tune and compair it to the original mix.

im ok peoples

i was getting worked up about some dumb stuff,i am no longer looking to a commercial studio. i will start a home studio even if it kills me..... (dont take that serious God)
