Is this punk mix to rumbly?

Hey guys, you ALWAYS help me out with my mixes. I just recorded this band a few days ago. I showed the song to 1 of my friends, who said it was to rumbly in certain sections. I'm not sure if it's my monitors or what, but I don't hear anything else wrong with it. Please give me your opinions. thanks

Perhaps roll out some low frequencies from the kick and the bass.

Maybe in the 80-150hz areas.

Nothing too drastic just a tad on each.

Then hand them that mix and see what they say.

pff, i think it's a pretty picky call.... there are a few instances where the bass guitar seems to distort, is that it?, like the bit around 1:10 with the drums/bass alone.... the toms are supposed to be rumbly, aren't they?

sounds pretty good hope they've got a good singer! sorry i can't be of more help.

I heard no rumble (Event TR6 monitors), perhaps if you could give a clue time-wise I could listen for it. The only part that sounded like it could use improvement (to me) was about 0:57 where it sounded 'way mess up' for about 5 seconds. Other than that it was o.k., but consider the audience... will 99.8% of people listening to this *really* care? Adding a screaming vocal will distract from any rumble that may be there anyway. Acoustic perfection is a worthy and lofty goal. But in this case the genre doesn't demand it.

ha. lol I think you're all exactly right.
and yes, i think the area my friend was talking about was the part with just bass guitar and drums alone. in my opinion, i like the rumbly feel of the toms. and that's all i thought it was, was the toms. he seems to think it's the bass guitar tho.
also, they do have a singer. he's recording on their next session, and then their full length will be done. i'll probaby repost the song with vox. thanks for the ideas, any others as for the rest of the mix?
