Is this Firewire card any good for a Motu FIREWIRE device??

Wanting to add an 8 ch pre-amp, ie Motu 8pre for example, via firewire. Would this do the trick? Yes, I'm a pci-x slot user. Currently happy with my trusty old Motu 24io, just changed to a smaller desk with fewer direct-outs to the 24io and now I need multiple preamps, again. Anything more I can do to get a response here guys?
 
I don't think that you'll be able to use the 24 I/O and the 8 pre at the same time using ASIO drivers, one being PCI and one being firewire means they most likely do not use the same driver and ASIO drivers can only be used one at a time.
