I'm not a drummer... so maybe it's not a stupid question. But i was wondering.. Drums are LOUD ENOUGH in it of itself... in a home setting... but if you MIKE them....in a HOME SETTING... wouldn't that drive your neighbors crazy? or just bring down the roof? i just dont understand the concept of miking DRUM SETS ( i know, i know, its to record) but is there anyway to record the drums without being so loud? i mean think about it.. drums are loud enough and imagine those sound coming out of a speaker...its insane...

   Im also confused 'cos if you were going to record there would be no extra noise than what there was when you normally play (practise) You either have you monitors turned down or not switched on at all when recording.
