hey everyone, I have a Fantom X7 and while I love it and its great, It was 2400$ which is quite pricey!!!
I was recently thinking, it might be a lot cheaper to just get a simple keyboard that you like the feel of, and plug it into some sort of "sound-box" that housed the patches/voices that you wanted to use..
is this a possible thing? that way you have a keyboard that is just a keyboard, it doesnt have the sounds actually in/on it at all, then you have a seperate source for your patches/voices...
I think this would be beneficial in that you have more choices of upgrading in the future because you dont have to switch out the entire keyboard, just the source of the audio...
i guess it would be similar to a midi-controller????
