I just bought an SKB rack and relaized that I really don't have much rackmountable equipment. Is there any way to put the RNP, DMP3 and even the Alesis Nanoverb in a rack space?
Without spending more money that the equipment.
Thanks.

how about one of those cheap metal rack shelves? The ones that don't slide are somewhere around $40-50 I think. You could probably velcro the units to the shelf to keep them in place.

Where the heck do I get velcro? ? ? :D Do you seriously want me to walk in to a fabric store and ask where the velcro section is? :D

I think you can get velcro from a hardware store. In the "fasteners" section. Some department stores should also have it (like target and walmart). And finally, I'm sure Stationary stores and Office supplies stores (like Staples or something) may have it too.

Personally, I know my office supplies manager has some so I am going to just ask her to get it foir me. I just hope it would be strong enough. I need the velcro with tape on each side (not the fabric store kind that you have sew into the material).
LAter.

Funk Logic?

I got a RNP/RNC combo in a Funk Logic rack from Mercenary Audio that is working out very well.

Well, you know, you have to walk into the fabric store to buy the cloth to cover the O.C. 703 for sound treatment. Might as well just ask them for the velcro then.

Just stay clear of the "lace" department, and you'll be alright.
;) :D

That's not worries me as much as the leather section. You gotta' understand the neighborhood I'm in. :D

Home Depot has Velcro in a variety of widths and lengths. It has adhesive on the back, too, or you can use contact cement.

I bought 2" wide by 48" long Velcro for about $8.

Look for it on the aisle that has nuts and bolts and other fasteners.

Same thing right? Could have saved 3 bucks but oh well.

Looks the same to me. I just hate the thought of attaching expensive stuff with velcro. Most of those little 1/2 and 1/3 units have holes in the bottom for this very purpose.
