Optimus Prime
I am puting together a small studio. I will be using a fostex digital all in one. I was wondering if there is a keyboard for around $500 that does good orchestra sounds?

Check out the Yamaha S03 - I have its big brother, the S80, and I LOVE the string sounds. The pianos are great, too. The brass/woodwinds are nothing special, but I've never met a set of keys whose brass/woodwinds I did like.
I know the S03 and S80 have an overlapping sound set (so my beloved strings MAY not be on the S03), so I won't be too emphatic, but I certainly think its worth checking it out at the store if you can.

Not much in variety for the Casio,demo wise ,but the "breathy alto sax" has me convinced that the rest of the sounds have what it takes.
