Maybe someone here knows the answer to this. I have a fostex a8, all the tracks record great except track 7. If you crank it real loud you can hear remnants of what you recorded. I've demagnitized, cleaned the heads and messed with the calibrators underneath but to no avail. Anyone else have a similar problem or might know what it is? Thanks!

Track 7 is an inside track so if the heads were truly worn, track 8 should be gone too and said nothing of it causing problems so, it's probably just an internal calibration adjustment of some sort though I don't know specifically what you would adjust on an A8 to bring it back?

Cheers! :)

THAT' S what I wanted to hear! :) Track 8 works fine so far. There are reproduce cal, rec level cal, rec cal, eq cal and bias cal for each track on the bottom of the recorder. I've messed with them all for that track but nothing fixed or changed it. Maybe, hopefully it's a bad connection with one of them that can be fixed. Thanks for replying Ghost FM.
