Why wont that 8 input mic one work? that i have the link for
That one will work fine with the rest of your equipment. It has built in preamps. Get it and start recording - it will sound 1000 times better than plugging your mic directly into the line in of your sound card. After you've used this stuff for awhile, you'll know more about recording and how to upgrade.

But that one will work just fine for now.

thank you for saying that simply and bringing closure to my question

Ahh, now I get you, the PR8 should be a fine solution to your shortage of inputs. They are an ideal platform for modification too.

PCI is a much better option both in terms of latency, reliability and cost. Unless you absolutely need portability in which case I would opt for Firewire, which is much more suitable for timing critical (isochronous) applications.

Thanks...yeah i will most likely get a pci card... i need one that has stereo capabilites unlke my SBlab
