Is OC703 a SORBER alternative?

Hey all. I'm a new member here, so I apologize if this is the wrong forum.

I managed to snag a used ClearSonic IsoPac G vocal booth for $25. The catch is that it didn't come with the SORBER baffles. SORBER is quite expensive ($30 per 24"*22"*1.5" panel), so I was wondering what I should use as an alternative. There are some places to grab Owens Corning 703, which I was thinking could be wrapped in some acoustic fabric to form a similar panel (I know a lot of people use it in studios, but I wasn't sure about the cramped space of a vocal booth). I was also looking at rock/mineral wool, but that doesn't seem sturdy enough to be its own panel without a frame. Would the OC703 work as a viable alternative to SORBER?
Another question; are there any good acoustically transparent fabrics that are also receptive to velcro (to wrap the OC703 in)?

Thanks,
Oliver

The Sorber panels ARE 703 wrapped in Fabric.(or a rigid fiberglass equivilent like Knauf) It's not an alternative...it's the real deal. So yes, you can.

From the manufacturers website.
Sorber baffles are manufactured out of rigid 1.5" thick compressed fiberglass encased in heavy-duty cloth.

btw, you ARE aware that the Clearsonic "vocal booth" is NOT an isolation booth . It will not prevent sound from leaking in or out. Yes, it lowers the transmission of sound, but an isolation booth it is not.

Thanks. I do remember seeing that it's rigid fiberglass, but didn't know if it had any special characteristics to it (though I don't know what they would be). Also, I didn't see 1.5" OC703. Any idea what fabric they use? I'm pretty sure it's velcro receptive (and acoustically transparent, of course). I'm not using the booth to keep noise in or out, mainly for better acoustics. The booth won't be used for singing during live recordings (or singing in general), only voiceovers. There isn't much noise I have to isolate.
