Greetings all.
I recently tried loading 4 sound cards in my machine, And I was having some problems. One of the 2 newer cards (both ESS, bottom of the line) wouldn't record at all. The other would record all fuzzy. I know how to set levels and whatnot, so I know that wasn't the problem. Anyways, I finally took the cards and my box to this one dude that pretty much told me my computer wasn't good enough run multi track.
It's a 450 K6-2 with 64 megs of RAM (don't worry, upgrades are in the planning. Anyone wanna buy some 72 pin SIMMs from my old system?). Now, what's the problem here? It's a mass produced NEC. Is the motherboard junk? Would I be able to run a Delta 10/10 or a Terratec 8 in/8 out?
I'm using Cool Edit Pro 1.2a and Sound Forge 4.5.
Any help or advice would be much appriciated. Thanks.
