ive read on these forums that the SPB1 has an internal shock mount. i was thinking about getting the AKG H100 for it, but is it necessary since theres an internal one?

thank you.

If you're just self-recording and your home isn't sensitive to things like
the rumble of passing trucks :), you should be fine with it.

If you're recording others and/or people present are walking around,
then using an additional shockmount is a smart idea to avoid picking
up footsteps.

The SPB1 internal shock mount works pretty good... I had the extra spider shock mounts with my SPB1's but never needed to use them.

i don't usually use shockmounts unless i want to impress someone with how cool they look!
