Is it more difficult than it;s worth to create drums with a DAW? I don;t have a MIDI keyboard, so will it be even more difficult? I'm trying to record my own album.

That depends on the genre of music. Real drumming does no one any good if they're doing techno, drum 'n' bass, IDM and other electronic music. Drum machine and sampling is where it's at for this kind of stuff.NYMorningstar said:I think it's a better deal to score a set of drums and learn how to play them. ...
Did I mention real drumming sounds better?
Here is a little dittie using EZdrummer... give it about 1 minute until the drums come in.... then there's a drum solo at about 3:20. Nothing too musically fancy (kind of a evening musical idea), but gives you an idea of the sound of EZD. This took all of about 5 minutes to program the drums. Then at about 4:00 are some very soft played toms.

I'm sure there are people on here that would help you out and would maybe play drums over your song for ya
has anyone ever tried that drums from hell thing? is it any good?
I agree with whoever said....yeah ezdrummer can suck like a vacuum cleaner. The biggest frustrations for me are doing drums with ezdrummer and doing bass with midi.
I don't know shit about drumming and fills and hihats and all that
Well, then what NYMorningstar said.alex0203 said:We're talking about rock music. ...
