...or does the SM57 not sound as good on guitar cabs as my SP B1? I mean, it's probably my room but for some reason the B1 just sounds better. I'm running through an A&H Mixwizard 20:8:2 into Yorkie YSM-1p's.

Its very likely that it does sound better. There are many people here who will tell you that they don't care for a 57 on guitar. I prefer the Ev-635a but I record alot of Metal.
I haven't even tried my B1 on electric guitars. Thanks for reminding me. Alot of people seem to like it on guitar.

Comparing a 57 to a B1 is comparing apples to oranges. The B1 sounds totally different from the 57.

Many pro's like the 57 on cabs, I happen to not like the 57, on cabs that is. I also don't like it very much on snare, but the 57 is a great mic for many other applications.
