Is it a safe online store?

If you are refering to the safety of placing a credit card order,.. Just make sure they have a "secure" site. Just look for the little lock at the bottom if your browser. If it does not have the lock then the site is not secure and your info will be transmitted ((((shudder)))) uncrypted.

What you might also want to do is use a perticular credit card for all your on line purchaces, one that you don't use for anything else,.... and most important,... NEVER use your ATM/VISA or Mastercard.

Or if you are really paranoid you can just call them and place the order by phone. :)

Yo GKowal"

First of all, you can get Yorkville on the net and they will give you the name of the closest dealer in your area -- for free.

Other stores that you feel safe?

Full Compass is one place I always call for a price and I've bought much of my gear from them. Have had no problem with returns, etc. You should always check the "RETURN" policy of your vendor as some vendors will charge you a "restocking" fee for certain items.

Sweetwater is also good about returns. In most cases, you have to call and get a return # and most of the time, YOU have to pay the shipping back to the store.

Use the 800 numbers and check out the vendors -- it's their nickel and you should take time to find out whazzzzzzzzup before you buy. Also compare prices. You may find more than 100 dollars difference in prices.

Hi gkowal,

I recently ordered my YSM-1p's from Gear 1 Music, and was extremely satisfied. They didn't ship the day I ordered due to a system error on their end (ordered on Friday and ended up shipping Monday), so they threw in a pair of cables and upgraded the shipping, both at no charge. Certainly what I call great service.

Good call on the Yorkville's, too. I'm loving mine - great product for the price.

got my Yorkvilles at musiciansbuy a couple years ago and had no problems what so ever. good dealer, good shipping, and very good monitors.

They are hard to find. But worth it. As the envious bee said, Do a search on Yorkville monitors and get the nearest dealer to you form the Yorkville web site. You can order from them, or the stores you found on the net. Make sure that little lock shows up on the bottm of the screen. I've ordered on line before with no problems.
