Hi everyone,

Im new to this forum. Do you guys/girls consider this forum at homerecording for home audio/home video?? I dont think so cause i dont see no amp sections, speakers, sub woofers, hifi and so on. My question is will someone please post up some forums on home audio and home video?? Im a member at audioholics.com, avforums.com and avsforum.com.. what others are there?? Please reply back ASAP. Thanks everyone.

Home RECORDING?!?

I always thought this forum was about coffee!

No wonder you people seem so obsessed with monitors and microphones...

audio is audio. whether it be recording audio or playing with surround sound for your home TV. you got a question about home audio, chances are most of the people on this forum will run rings around your local Best Buy salesman when it comes to answering your question. the only difference with this forum is that people here like to play with bigger and better gear than your average home audiophile.

heh-heh........ but we also tend to poo-poo the "mystic audiophile" nonsense such as green marker rimming of CDs, cable shock absorbers, and concrete blocks to sit amplifiers on! ;) :p

It's those black CDs man, but only if you've got the 7 gauge silver cable.

You mean you don't have any cable shock absorbers?

Wow. By any chance, did you actually click on anything and read or do you just randomly sign up on forums hoping it's what you're looking for? This is a site dedicated specifically to baking sentient clam dip. Obvious.

 You, sir, have a lot to learn!!

I use 3/4" solid silver rods for my amp/speaker connections. I find that cables let a certain "flexibility" into the sound which I don't care for. Makes placement a bitch, but that extra bit of smoothness and air, "hotness" in the vocals, and .000000001 db added response at 47.953852 hz is well worth it.

I do not worry about cable shock absorbers as my system is mounted on a concrete slab floating on a pool of mercury. Finally I can enjoy my music as it was meant to be heard, free of the irritating stylus noise from a cricket burping twelve miles away.

I am having the airlock installed tomorrow, and the family has (reluctantly) agreed to go hairless in the battle against dust.

I will not acknowledge anyone who won't even take these basic steps to improve their listening experience.

:D :D :p :p

OK you showed me.

I always wonder about audiophiles--instead of spending $100K on their system, why not just hire house musicians? That's the way nobility does it.

I say if you don't have a private orchestra you're a piker.

I think you need good dose of "lighten-the-fuck-up"....... you posted something exceptionally silly, so you should have expected the answers you got.

UTFSE!

Dude, if three audiophile forums don't give you all the info you need, you play with your stereo too much.

Although I can understand how you could go to three audiophile forums and learn nothing.

If you check a thread more than once a month, you give people less time to make jokes.

If you have a technical question, fire away.

Either no one knows any, or all the audiophiles on this BBS are at a Star Trek convention, their only other form of social interaction beside audiophile bbs forums.

Hey Derek!

I'd like to thank you...I'm sorry, I mean 'U'... for breaking down the rules for me.

I have a really, really funny 'Family Circus' I cut out of the paper I'd like to share with everyone here...but I just realized I'm not allowed to make jokes in U'r thread. Damn! Please?!!? It's killing me.

It's really funny, Derek. You'd love it! Yeah, P.J. mispronounces 'spaghetti'! It's hilarious. Too bad U guys will never see it.

Blame Derek.

And actually, Derek...U are MORE than welcome to come over to my place sometime and make fun of me. I could finally show U that cartoon. And then we'd laugh for hours!

Please!?
