Introduction Mbox ?

Whats up , im new to these boards but i wont be for long im definitly gonna be a extensive user .. anyway ( www.myspace.com/cdofssl ) thats me add me check out tha music whatevere ,,, i have a mxl 990 , and a alesis 8 usb mixer for my equip ment currently and i am wondering some things ,,, i been lookiin at the mbox on musicians friend is this my next equipment choice ? im not positive what it does but its like real time compression etc right or what .. and does neone know of a good mic thats not more than 200 or so please let me know ..

think of the Mbox as a soundcard for your computer. It also comes with software for your computer so you can record onto it.

well right now i have a alesis mixer with usb so i use it as a sound card so would tha mbox even be worth buying ? also wondering what a good pair of monitors for not to much would be

then nope, you're already set. you just need some software to record with.

look at sweetwater.com or zzounds.com for monitors.
