So i have said something about it in my prior thread, but i am gonna start a new, because i love being ignored...lol, Anyway, i am looking for my first interface. I want a few interfaces, because for me, there are times when it would be much easier to track a few instruments at once instead of 1 or 2, i am currently looking at the Tascam 1800 or a 2000. Cubase is also included with both of those.

Thanks,
Tristan

I was going to reply...but decided to ignor you. :D

;)

What are you really asking...what's the best interface...which kinds are multi VS 2-channel...???
There's all kinds. It's often down to your goals and budget.

You are making no sense in looking for more than one interface - possibly you mean that you want a few separate tracks at one time? Pick an audio interface that will allow you to record as many separate tracks as you will need at one time.

Stop saying that dude. You created two accounts to say that!?!?

EDIT: That post was deleted already! Mods are doing a good job

I highly recommend either of those.

US 1641 is what I have. 1800 is it's replacement. Almost idential. Ask away. :)

Enjoying the spam? lol, not related, do you cubase with that? I am new to cubase... Dont recall seeing your setup, do you run monitors with that? Any tips/tricks, or other requipment to go with that you'd reccomend?

Yeah, now I'm on shift to delete them. :)

Yeah man. I'm a Cubase guy. It should all be in my sig.

One thing to know is you cant use the 1800, or any USB2.0 interface on the same USB hub as another streaming device, such as an external drive. It will cause interruption. If your PC has a USB2.0 as well as a 3.0, you would be fine using one of them (I use the 3.0) to run the Tascam. If not, then you will want to purchase a PCIe 2.0 card. Before I built my monster PC, I had to get one for my HP. $26.

You should also, always use a separate drive for your audio files. Make sure it is 7200 RPM at minimum.
