Interesting Tape Echo

That Philips sure looks strange. Hard to imagine that beast weighing 60lbs.

I watched the auction yesterday,..droooooooling.
I love my tape echoooooooos!:D
That particular one, gave me an inspirational idea to start building one of my very own custom tape echos.
I've got a pretty hefty collection goin' on now, that I'm happy with.
Run all my synths through 'em. Occasionally,..I'll let my Guitarist/Vocalist sing or play through one of 'em.
Nothin' beats the sound of analog tape.;)
 
Bet that thing sounds great! There is nothing short of a real life real world echo that sounds better than a tape echo. The modern digital plugins and devices really don't match the character of tape echo.

That's what I was kind of thinking. I'd love to see someone make one like that. It looks like some high tech navigational tool. :D
