it does nothing for the sound...being mounted on glass versus wood..ok.

Having listened to the system the Beatles monitored and mixed on at Abbey Road recently - I'm amazed they sounded as good as they did? The monitors were really light weight and not 'modern' at all.

I always assumed there were Altec monitors there. What were they using?
