integrated graphics performance

ok. i went from an inspiron 8600 to 600m to ibook g4 and all has deddicated. I was looking at a sharp actius al27 its an athlon 64 lappy (yay :D ) but it has DEDICATED GRAPHICS :eek: :( :mad:

i know... i hate that, but will it really impact performance recording. i record at most 2 tracks at a time in my omnistudio usb. and songs usually 14-20 (max) tracks. bout 3-4 synth plugins and several effects. will the integrated graphics hurt me?

well actually i think your worrying needlessly.
just run performance tests on the laptop your considering buying.
do things like record 32 tracks and time the mixdown as well.
you will immediately see if there are any issues with graphics if you run tests.
 
I doubt graphics will be a problem at all... However most onboard graphics mobo's steal RAM for graphics...
