Don't stare at the eye.
So this little tune has some quirks:

1) It's a little short to be called a real "song"

2) For how short it is, the intro is kinda long

3) There are some rather abrupt breaks

There's a reason for all of these: it's a backing track to a video I'm editing for a client. They're all rather forced elements that line up with visuals in the video. (I'll post the video when it's all put together.) My weak spot is always bass--too much? Too little? Your input on that and anything else you hear is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

WS

I have to ask....is this video an 80's exercise VHS video? :D

Sounds good to me. Nice guitar tones and playing. Bass seems fine. Drums sound good. Well done.

Thanks man. Yeah, there's no removing the 80s from me, huh?

It's actually a weapon's accessory manufacturer. The video is a bunch of folks at a shooting range. I've got to somehow make that interesting. The vid should be up within a week or so.

what are your ultimate plans for this track? do you want to make it a standalone piece for your non-commercial pursuits?

i don't see a problem with the length - it's actually kinda refreshing, as dudes who make this type of music usually have 5-7 minute long pieces, which can get old.

lol that guitar is awesome dude.

Sounds great - I'm sure the client will be shooting off shotguns in celebration! :D

My plan? I was thinking of adding 5-7 minutes! :)

You have a new man fan here. :)

I'm kinda stuck in the 80's myself. Whatever that means....

sounds good here, WS - I went and grabbed my 1911's out of the safe. Bass sounds great.

I've been wanting to do a video of shooting set to "what a wonderful world"

Sound good to me. The music I make is somewhat similar. Sounds fine to me. The mixing/tones is pretty 80's but I think it fits with the market your client is after. It sounds rocking, but it isn't too distracting. Great job.

Thanks man. I just listened to the tune in your sig. For me, I wan't the drums to be bigger and badder and the rhythm guits to be bigger and closer. On the other hand, your playing? That lead line? Absolutely sweet. I love your tone and phrasing. Great stuff!

Thank you. I tried to adjust the levels of that song, but unfortunately the way I recorded it didn't leave me much wiggle room to tweak things. I'd like to improve the sound more, but I don't think I can do too much more. Thanks for the compliments on the playing. If you have anymore songs please post them.
