Instrument delayed, signal problem?

So I just figured out using my digital piano and my interface together. When I record it, the sound is fine and not delayed but after recording, the playback is off by a second. Why is this delay occurring exactly? I thought it may be the signal but if it was why is it only delayed post-record?

This also happens for vocals. Is it the latency? My settings were at medium latency. I tested the recording at high latency and low latency and it still happened to come out the same way. I'm reading through a book to help me and continue to toy with it, but I cannot figure out why. Can anyone please help me in the right direction?
