Ok, well, I'm going to make some of my own cables, and i'm looking on parts express to get some cable, but to make guitar cables I'm assuming you don't use speaker cable, so I was wondering what kind of cable I should be looking for because there's nothing along the lines of "instrument" cable. Help?

Thanks. Another question though; what's the difference between TS and TRS connectors?

TS (tip-sleeve) is what you'd use for intrument cables.

TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) is what you'd use for balanced lines or for headphones.

one has two connectors on it...the other has three

the TRS connector is typically used with balanced signals and stereo signals.
TS connectors are used for pretty much everything else.

ah, mad beat me to it ;)

What are the prices like? You have to get a quote, and that's too much work to just get an idea of a cost.

To be honest I don't know. But they have a great reputation, and their name comes up a lot. Of course part of that may be that I'm in Chicago and they're headquarters are in a suburb. Anyway they're definetly a solid company.

It seemed like their form was pretty simple to get a quote, if you know what you want. You could also have them send you a catalog, which may have pricing info.
No doubt there are a lot of options out there, but this is a good one that I knew.
