Installing M-Tron

Okay, I just got my M-Tron program and the install is asking me to pick a mode, VST or Stand alone? Which would be the best choice? I want to be able to record it in Live 5 but also play it without have to run Ableton. So if I install it as a stand alone will it still run into ableton?

Pick both. VST means you can use it as a plugin within other programs (which is what you want). Stand Alone means that it will run as a program on itself, without any other software. This is handy for quick auditioning of sounds, but you can't record anything this way.
