First post here. As an ex sound guy, I kind of can't believe I'm asking this question, but I come from the analog days, so digital recording is something I'm really just delving into. So:

If I'm using a Presonus Inspire (which I haven't purchased yet), and am limited to recording two tracks at once (using XLR inputs), would I then be able to bounce tracks on the Cubase software, since it has 48 track capability? My thinking is yes. Thoughts? And thanks.

Yep, once you have the digital files recorded and in your editor, you can bounce, split, merge, resample, bend, fold and mutilate the tracks back and forth, in and out and upside down however you want. And you can save the razor blades for shaving. :D

You actually won't have to bounce though....unless you just want too. You'll just create a new track in Cubase and arm it for recording. Of course, if you go beyond 48 tracks, you'll have to get your bounce on.

The grass always looks greener on the other side of the converter ;).

Digital has just as many weeds as analog; it's just that they are of a different variety.

Get your bounce on.....

I don't know why I found that so funny.

Last night I finished mixing an album (I hope) and I had to get my bounce on for like an hour and a half..........
