Hey there,
Bit of a noob question ...
For something like reverb, the type of effect that you want to run parallel to your source, I've been setting up an effect track with 100% wet and sending differeing amounts of signal to the FX track. So, 1 single effects track receiving many sources - processor load low.
Now, a vocal pre-amp emulator (for example) is something that I want 100% of the signal to through, so I set up an insert (using Line 6 POD Farm BTW). THis works just fine, for 1 track.
I have about 6 vocal tracks and I couldn't see how to get away from having a separate insert for every vocal track (until I started writing this post!), even though every insert I have set up with the same vocal pre-amp emulator plugin with the same settings. I watch my processor load go up.
So, do I set up a group track, send all vocals to the group track, then put the insert there? And will I still be able to control differeing amounts of reverb for different tracks with the effects send?
Just thought I'd see if I'm using it correctly and sus out what you guys do in this situation.
Cheers,
FM
