Ins and Outs

This is very basic, but I noticed the follwoing in a previous post

''Once again I like M-Audio here, I would go firewire.
The Firewire 410 is a nice two in four out box.''

Now, I'm assuming the 'two in' is like my Tascam US 122....but what are 4 outs?

It's just an extra two outs so you can send a stereo signal to an additonal destination (mixer or heaphone amp for monitoring etc).

Just FYI, the FW-410 actually can do 2 analog inputs and 8 analog outputs at once.
