This is the Crybaby Bass Wah Pedal I have:

... my Tuba being only a 3 valve Tuba, the absolute lowest note that I would personally hit would be a E in Octave 1. That's pretty abnormal, usually I stay at Bb Octave 1 and higher, all of which is in the middle to middle high range of the Bass Guitar, so I am under the impression I'm safe as far as frequencies go.
I can pop a pedal Bb and even a Double Pedal Bb after hours of playing when my lips are nice and spent, which would be lower than a Bass Guitar, but that wouldn't be very loud or sound too great anyway - unless I'm planning on emulating flatulence, but hey, I'm a Tuba player, right?
