I recently inherited some sound equipment and I'd like some guidance with how to use it. I have tons of karaoke dvd's and would like to record & mix on my computer. This is what I have:
* Digitech Studio S200 Multi Effects Processor (Have no idea how to use this)
* Peavy Q215 Stereo Graphic Equalizer (too many gliders)
* Yamaha Club Series S215IV Cabinet 2x15 with Horn speakers (these are HUGE)
* Crate Pro Audio CSM12 Stereo Console Mixer (this is just an elaborate volume control to me, need help with this one)
* Crate Pro Audio SPA1400 Power Amp (450W per side)
* Wireless Shure M58 mic (pair, works great)
* Pioneer karaoke
Computer equipment:
* Athlon 1.3 GHz
* 256MB ram
* Creative Soundblaster Live!
* 80GB hard disk space
* DVD (i use it to record the karaoke tracks as mp3s)
I was looking at upgrading my sound card to the Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum EX, which has recording capabilities up to 24 digital tracks. Anyone have good experience with this card? I don't like to assume anything.
Can anyone tell me if I have everything I need?
