I have a friend who has a pair of these- any good? Any good for what? Suggestions? Slap downs in roaring flames? What would be a good price range?
PS- I have no other recording mics currently....I've been using direct sources and my ElectroVoice N/D 357 in the meantime....Thinking about some possibles for the future like MXLs and/or Oktava (yeah- I've seen the GC Oktava debates already) but for now and cheap would these Shures work out?
