it's a mexi i think it's a fat tele it doesn't have made in mexico on the front its on the back of the head it has a 3 ply pickguard 5 way selector switch blonde finish that you can see the grain through ....one guy told me that a plant in Cali burned down once and they sent the salvage stuff to mexi for build and they had to put made in mexi on them ...any info on maybe years of production opr the actual name for it would be appreciated ....thanks in advance

It looks and sounds like the Tex Mex Tele that I had, mine was sunburst. If the serial begins with M it's mexican, for example MN7xxxxx is a MIM 1997 model, while N9xxxxxx is a US made 1999 model.
