Inexpensive Isolation booth??

I want to build a isolation booth in one corner of my 25'x20' "studio" /rehearsal room

Since I dont own the location I dont want to do a massive permanent highend installation. Just something that will be functional and realtively inexpensive. I guess I need to view plans etc for materials and all that but I want to see what you folks would recommend.

This would primarily be used to record drums and guitars at the same time with minimal bleeding from instrument to instrument

you would record the drums in the main room, I assume?

I don't actually have true isolation, but something that drastically cuts down bleed. THe main room is about 18x30 and used to be set up for live rehearsal. REcently, we flipped the drum riser up on its side and stuck it diagonally in a corner with just enough room to get back in there. We just put an amp in the corner and the drums in the main room. While, our mic cache is somewhat small, an AT 4033 used as a drum overhead is not picking up the guitar at all. THe rest of the drum mics are all close mics.

Now, the construction of this thing. It's 1/2" plywood on 2x4 framework. The inner side facing the corner is covered with a disgusting shag carpet that gives you a rash if you touch it. Not much to it, but it works.

Whisperbooth.com and vocalbooth.com sell somewhat portable booths in which you can attach casters, and wheel it out of the way.

I have a whisperbooth and I like it. Its basic, works, and was convienent to order.

Or, you can make your own booth out of 2x4's, a three layer plywood floor (with casters), stick in a door, and line the homemade 4'x3' (or 4x4') booth with a plethora of auralex products to absorb/dampen reflections and ambient noise from outside the booth.

If you build the vocal booth and not attach it to the structure you are in (house?), then when you move out your landlord won't freak out
