Inexpensive DI...is Radial worth it?

I'm in the market for an inexpensive direct box. I was hoping to only spend $30-$40, but I'm noticing the popularity of Radials. Originally I was looking at a Samson S-Direct or a Whirlwind IMP 2. The Radial Pro RMP or Pro DI are both $100. Is it worth the extra $60-$70 to get the Radial, or are they really only noticeably different when you get up into the J series?
 
I suspect this will all depend on what your intended use is. I use a cheap direct box all the time but I typically only use the direct tracks for editing/reamping distorted guitar. It doesn't seem to make a huge difference in this application.
 
It'll be used for bass to have a direct track and mic'd amp tracks.
 
the Samson S direct is a good DI but I would consider spending a little more and get the Hartke VXL Bass Attack Preamp Pedal

Ya I know it says it is a bass pedal but it works excellently for treble instruments as well especially great for acoustic guitars whether treble, baritone or bass.
it is a little bit more but worth the extra cash
and every bit as good as the Sansamp for less money.
