Mixing and Mastering.
Does anyone have any good impulses from top quality studios?

I'm just starting to get into using impulses.
How accurate can these be compared to using a real studio space?

Cheers,
Eck

I have Jim Roseberry's impulses. http://www.studiocat.com/

They are excellent.

You won't catch me claiming that an impulse can ever be quite as good as recording in a really good room, however.

THanks all for the links.
Would yous rather use an impulse over a plug-in like BlueVerb or R-verb (for example)?

Eck

if you're on the lookout for something to use on guitars, you aren't going to want to use the standard room/reverb impulses - head on over to the Andy Sneap forum @ ultimatemetal.com, then do a search on the "keifer" impulses(it might be spelled "keiffer", actually...). these are impulses that some guy made with a variety of cabinets, speakers, and mics.

there's probably some other places to find free cabinet impulses, but they seem pretty tough to find, and the keifer clips are a sure bet.

edit: it looks like there's more cabinet impulses now @ noisevault also - those might be worth scoping out

edit: posted link was to clips, not impulses...scratch that

Thanks man.
I was looking at room impulses to add some natural room to my drums.

While not an impulse per say, a lot of guys mix our Z4 real room samples to add some natural sounds to their drums.

Before that, i used some impulses found at noisevault. Also, the Waves plugin comes with a lot of great stuff.

hey, thanks for the plug. the Keiffer Impulses are mine and I had them available on the Sneap FTP. I'll need to upload them again. Look for conduit zip files. Check this thread for access and look for my folder Mood_Bender. Sneap FTP Thread

also, be sure to check out GuitarHack's and Spalt88's Cab Impulse files.

here's some M3000 Reverb Impulse Files: M3000 Impulses
